Every night
a knocking sound
is heard
on my room’s window.
Suddenly
the window opens
automatically
And a gust of wind
rushes in my room.
The wind fills my room
with the sweet smell of
jasmine,magnolia and rose.
But before I can store that smell
in my mind heart and soul
A second gust of wind
comes in room
and takes that sweet smell
towards my neighbour’s window.

Dear Hemant,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and comment, so here is the return visit.
India is not a foreign country to both of us as we've done consulting for Pond's India Ltd, in the south of India mainly. We love the country and its culture; above all the FOOD! Our best friends are from Gujarat and are in the medical world. So you see, it's a small world...

ReplyDeleteDear Hemant,
ReplyDeleteThis poem is so beautiful. So vivid, and quite of a reminder that beautiful things in life are to be shared. We tend to attach to things, and want to keep them for our own enjoyment. Sometimes we need that "wind" to help us share with others.
Thanks for visiting my blog and for your lovely comment.
Blessings.
Doris
